They are pretty hardy, I live in Virginia and it snow's on them and they grow like crazy in the spring! never have covered them or any thing in the winter they do just fine.

My mother had some in her zone 7 garden, but I'm in zone 5 in the mountains where it gets darn cold! Thanks!

Hey it gets cold here to! and snows alot here in the mountains, I just sent some to Michigan so I think they will grow just about anywhere.

I live in Zone 5. My sister has her's in a metal tub. She doesn't protect them at all for the winter. In Spring, they come back bigger and better!!!
