Here I go again... Watching and bidding . Just beautiful.
F,W & BIDDING! I was going to quit bidding on fabrics, but this hit a soft spot in my heart. I collect porcelain carousel horses, that I'm going to hand down to my oldest grand daughter. What a great idea for a quilt, to wrap them in! Beautiful!
If you are anything like me you probably have a whole bunch of projects that if you live to be 100 you will never be able to finish. This sounds like the perfect thing to do with this material. This quilt will mean so very much to her. Good luck
LOL! You have that right! I have soooo many projects that I haven't even begun! Not to mention those little bits, I have to finish. Then to add to it, my sewing machine up and died on me! A friend gave me an older Sears/Kenmore. So I'm also finding needles, that fit, etc., etc.,... I'm playing the struggling quilters game, now! I'm not complaining, though. At least I have a hobby I love, that makes others happy, as well as myself. Good therapy for the mind, body and soul. I need this fabric for my grand daughter, though! Hahaha!
Oh, no I'm not sure how you have survived without a sewing machine. I guess you could make a quilt by hand like they did in the pioneer days. I certainly don't have the patience for that. It will be an interesting auction. Judy Burgess and I trade material a lot and she is your main competition. Good luck to both of you.
Lol! Thanks! Hand quilting is out of the question! Arthritis just doesn't want to leave my hands alone! Good luck to Judy Burgess! We may end up in a bidding battle...up until the last seconds! That's always fun, though. I don't let it get me down, if I don't win. I'm happy that someone else like certain fabrics, too. I usually will fan the person that outbids me. It's all in fun! Just like sewing and quilting...
oh my gosh, someone else who gets it. Listia is supposed to be fun. As long as you do what you say you will do then it is fun for all. After all these are just things. They are not things that are dear. It's not like you are trying to win your mom from a slave trader or something.
Exactly! I bid on things I like. If the bidding gets real high, then I back off and good luck to the others! Now if it's on some thing I love.....I'll go a little further out on the branch. Sometimes, it's fun to have a bidding battle on something I could really put use...like this! Lol! It's always fun. No hard feelings, ever! It's fun! Especially when I'm mostly home bound. Listia is another way of social networking!
I see somebody else has jumped into the bidding. I'm just going to watch. Good luck to all of us! :)
