Recipe and instruction on how to make your own laundry soap and dryer sheets
I recently attended a workshop and learned how to make my own laundry soap and dryer sheets. It is so much cheaper than buying these items in the store!
With this recipe for laundry soap, if you make the full 5 gallon batch ( you can break the recipe up into smaller batches) you can do 320 loads of laundry.
Not including the cost of a bucket or other container to mix it in, it cost me less than $13 to make three 5 gallon batches of laundry soap. Now taking into consideration that I live in a very rural area, you may be able to find the ingredients cheaper at a discount store or even a super Walmart. I could not find any of the ingredients at my local Dollar Tree. But I figure it costs me 87 cents to make a gallon of this laundry soap!
The dryer sheets cost me a total of $3, that includes the cost of the container to put it in, at Dollar Tree. I have not yet figured out how many loads of laundry I can do with this batch.
If you use well water, I can also tell you something other than bleach to use on your whites. Sometimes using bleach on whites with well water you get a brown tinge to your whites.
I WILL MAIL THE WINNER THE RECIPE FOR LAUNDRY SOAP, INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING DRYER SHEETS, TIP ABOUT WHAT TO USE INSTEAD OF BLEACH ON WHITES (ESPECIALLY IF YOU USE WELL WATER) AND AN APPROXIMATELY 8 OZ SAMPLE OF THE LAUNDRY SOAP ( ENOUGH TO DO 4 LOADS OF LAUNDRY.
I do not know how the bidding will go on this, but if by any chance the bid gets high enough, I will also include the ingredients to make one 5 gallon batch of laundry soap. At this time, I do not know what would be high enough, but watch the comments and I will let you know, once I see how the bidding will go on this.
Good luck and happy bidding!
