Questions & Comments
After the Treaty of Versailles the German city of Danzig was established as an independent entity in 1920. At first German stamps were still used, after a while overprinted with "Danzig". Thereafter Danzig introduced its own stamps until 1939. Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. Danzig was again German. Deutsches Reich stamps were printed and issued within a month.
