The listing, 2 BEAUTIFUL FOSSIL ROCKS ((MY 8 YO DAUGHTER'S FIRST AUCTION!!)) PLEASE CHECK THESE OUT & BID IT UP! has ended.

This is my daugther's first Listia auction. Two beautiful fossil rocks, found by herself. Her name is Alana, she is 8 years old and excited to be using Listia with mom. We found these two rocks together, and I am now listing them for her. All credits will go for her shopping here on Listia, so please be kind and bid high on her first auction!! :)

These are smaller rocks, but not tiny. I wasn't able to find my tape measure :( I will later on update this auction with exact measurements. You can see from penny in photo they are nice sized, just not huge. Please browse thru all the photos to see close ups and more details of the rocks. There is A LOT OF PICTURES LISTED (16 total!) so be sure to browse ALL OF THEM to get a real good idea of what these look like. I have taken shots from different angels with each rock as well as close up parts of the rocks to show better details of the actual fossils, but you HAVE TO SEE THESE IN PERSON to truely enjoy them! It was hard getting NICE PHOTOS!! :(

THERE IS MANY, MANY FOSSIL PRINTS on the one rock, the other has most all fossils ont he TOP of the rock. :) Displayed or collected - children love these to learn about fossils and how they where formed. We have found over 20 different fossil rocks, so it was fun to pick 2 out for Listia. :) If this does well, we may be offering MORE FOSSILS for your enjoyment. (Or by request!)

My 4 year old son will be listing auctions here int he future as well. We have just been urber busy with day to day life and no time for sitting down and sorting things out to list here, with the kids. BUT I am going to be listing some incredibly nice personal auctions today myself - mostly all nail art. :) I hope you'll check it out later. :)

I have just been urber busy working on my site but the kids do get to help doing that as well so we have fun :)

I named her after my parents - my dad's name is Alan, so I added an A and made Alana. My mother's middle name is Jean and so I named my daughter Alana Jean.
My mother was named after her father/my grandfather, also his name is Gene. :)

Awwh thank you so much for posting and letting us know about your son! :) This is great, to see so many moms here with children who loves fossils. They are amazing. My kids all collect rocks and as I posted earlier I am a gemologist, just hadn't done anything with that in my life but do love collecting gems/rocks myself.
If this does well I'd love to list more, even if they are my own personal pieces - gems, rocks, fossils, etc. I am sure there will be more to offer later on. :)

I will let my daughter know you may be interested next week in doing another auction - or, maybe a swap?

We could prolly get Alana to part with a couple more, and sell directly to you for credits, do a get it now. This is an absolutely wonderful auction. I encourage my daughter to collect fossils & artifacts. She has a great time with them. She learns so much history, too. Always a plus in my book. I hope your daughter does well in her auction. My daughter, Gwendolyn decided that she wanted to bid on these. So, we are. Good luck to everyone. Awwwh that is so awesome that we have another kid bidding - a fossil collector. Great! :) She is going to be so happy and so excited to see the comments, bids, etc. this weekend. Thank you for posting. :) She had a very hard time parting with these rocks so I hope they do very well. We really won't make anything off this until it goes over 2,000 credits because I had it featured, only so she'd get mor ebids and views/comments on her very first auction. I hope it was worth it for us, because I do not want to let her down. Is what it is though, I never listed rocks/fossils before, not sure the market is there for them or not! :) We shall see I guess. It'll always be fun regardless though and I can give her some of mommy's credits to make up for it, if she doesn't get a ton from this. I just hope I get my 2,100 credits back at least for being featured - LOL! :)
If this does well I am sure she'd offer up more of her fossils. We found more nearly every single week in the driveway at her dad's place. He just bought a TON of rocks and laid the driveway in them. So we have them literally right outside our door there! :) And its totally fun fun fun searching. I can't wait until it gets real real nice out we can take her to new places to find new rocks. :) Be a lot of fun. ALL my kids LOVE rocks, and I am a certified gemologist, I have some AMAZING gemstone pieces you wouldn't believe :) Hugs and good luck to you both!

Very cool. :) I am originally from Pennyslvania - north east part. :) Where do you live now? We can definatly work something out for sure. Do you prefer a get it now auction for more rocks? If so, how many - we can base the price on what this sells for, do it slightly less for you. :) OR do you prefer to swap rock for rock? :) Which ever would be easier/more fun, I can run it by my daughter on Sunday and see what she decides to do. If she wants toearn more credits, we'll let you know (please email me sunday so I don't forget?) or if she wants to swap to get more rocks we'll do that instead. Hevck we may end up doing both. So lmk which you prefer or both! :) Hugs!
