The listing, Midland CB Radio Model 1000 has ended.

It was the first CB I bought, but I didn't use it very much. It seemed kind of weak to me, but a buddy told me that I needed to have it tuned. It was working the last time I used it, but I am offering it for parts not working, just to cover myself. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Somebody that knows about CB's might wind up pretty happy tinkering with this. Offered as-is. What you see in the pics is what you get.

you can have it tweaked and peaked and then put in bigger finals, and get about 55 watts out of it,, or just but a galaxy :-)

That's what at least one of my buddies was telling me, but with regard to CB operation, and technical savvy, I'm so illiterate. Anyway, you're on the road so much, when is there time? When I drove locally, I left out around 5am, pulled 2 loads over into the Appalachians, and got home usually around 8pm. Not much time left over. When I was doing regional it was worse-only home on the weekends. Anyway, I was happy listening to music, and my good buddies alerted me by cellphone. But, yes, definitely if you have the know how, I don't yet.

My late husband was a trucker. He always had his radios tuned. You would be surprised how much difference it makes!

Definitely agree, especially when you don't know about conditions ahead, it can mean the difference between getting stuck on the interstate and being able to exit and there are worse case scenarios that can be totally avoided, just by having a CB. Thanks, God bless you. F&W
