it has a very low minting because it was part of a 2 coin set that also included a $1 coin. If you have that one as well it should have been included in this deal. the half alone is basically worth it's face value + just a little. the entire set (both coins together) is only worth $20

While I don't know where you get your information, our comes from professional numismatic dealers and the Whitmans Red Book which is the primary book used by the majority of collectors and dealers in the United States, for U.S. coins. Whitman's Red Book specifically states that 928,008 (less than 1 million) were released directly for public distribution and are now valued at over $6 per coin. Whitman's Red Book further states 6,414,638 (OVER 6 million) were sold in "sets" with the $1 coin. These sets are now valued at over $36.

Opps Again! ALL Denver minted Liberty Commemorative half dollars were released for distribution. ONLY Liberty Commemorative half dollars minted in San Francisco and West Point were released in "sets" with the $1 coin.....
