Fanned and watching. Could you tell me what the battery numbers are? My phone can't be charged anymore and I'm thinking this might work if the battery is the right one. It's the last set of numbers on the battery like 0.00 Wh, 1.23 Wh, etc. I have another Samsung that has a slightly smaller battery so I know that those last few numbers is what makes a difference if it will work or not. Thanks!

Fanned, Watched, and Shared. Do you know if the phone's ESN is clean. That is whether or not it is on an account with an unpaid / past due balance. Because if the ESN is not clean (balance on phone) the winner will have to pay the past due to get it activated. Thanks.

Call MetroPCS at their 800 number. Tell them you got the phone used and wanted to give it to someone (I.e. Niece), then tell them you want to check before passing it on. If it's clean they will let you know and ask if you want to activate it. If they tell you the phone is active with past due then it's dirty. In the case of the past due amount that needs to be paid up before MetroPCS will activate/reactivate the phone.
