does it come with the software cd?

It does not need a cd, and did not come with one, this is plug and play, the software is built in the router as soon as you connect it and open your browser, it downloads the software.

all i do is plug in the ethernet cord and power cord and use it with ease no cd no other cors involved

Because its wireless, it works on all wifi devices, I had It running 14 at one time, 6 laptops, a Xbox 360, a ipad, 4 iPod touches , roku player and a ps3 all at one time flawlessly

The password key is the password that comes with it, it is still affixed to the back of the router, never changed it, so the original password works

Definately, I used it at my home, running 14 devices in a 3 story house, it is excellent for streaming, and had no problem with it, upgraded to the 900 because we added more streaming devices to our home, unless you plan on surpassing 14 devices, it will work great and have excellent range

The crazy thing is I didn't even have this in my house, I had it set up in my garage , because that's where my modems located and still got full bars in the master bedroom on the third floor, you'll have no problem
