Wilbur Wood was a knuckleballer who finished in the top 5 of Cy Young voting in 1971, 1972, and 1973. A reliever who was converted to a starter in 1971, he twice leading the league in wins, and he won 20 or more in 4 straight seasons after becoming a starter. he played 12 of his 17 seasons with the Chicago White Sox.
John Buzhardt was a journeyman pitcher who spent his best years with the White Sox, winning almost 50 games for the Southsiders.
