My apologies about the sipping information, I am new to this site and just figuring what to do. The lamp weighs about 4lbs and is 18.5 inches tall. The base of it is about 5 inches in diameter.

NOTE to everybody re: when checking cost at USPS.com be sure to figure this as a LARGE package because one of the dimensions exceeds 12 inches....

Question for Heidi Mae: What WIDTH box would you put this in? With a 14 inch base circumference, I figure the diameter of the base is about 4.5 inches, so the box would have to be about 10x10x22 inches to allow for cushioning in packaging. Does that seem correct?

LOOK FOLKS - instead of expecting the donor of a free item to figure shipping for everyone who asks, you can CALCULATE IT FOR YOURSELF at USPS.com. Look up any zip code for Tempe, Arizona, enter that zipcode (from) and your own (to), the weight of the package, and the shipping dimensions. That will give you the costs for various classes of mail. Anyone who is as experienced as some of the people asking here, already KNOWS how to do that. It's NOT fair to expect a new donor to look that up for everyone.....

ok, thanks cme2. I did my homework. I went to usps website. Put in calculations and came up with $8.60 Priority Mail, $7.94 Parcel Post and $3.55 Media Mail.....for my zip...wow that is cool deal..
