The light up LED base has new batteries in it and lights up as you can see in the pictures. It projects different colors into the clear prism cubes ~ red, orange, yellow, blue, purple. You will receive 2 prism cubes, one with Mary and the other with Jesus. The cube of Mary has chips missing at two edges and the cube of Jesus has a chip missing on one of the side edges. They both look great sitting on the base though as the colors change
