Blanton, a 2005 Rookie of the Year candidate with the Oakland Athletics, has put up a solid career as a major league pitcher. With 83 wins and nearly 1000 Ks to his credit, Blanton was also a member of the 2008 World Champions rotation, going 4-0 with the Phils after being acquired from Oakland during the stretch run. He then went 2-0 during the postseason, and even became the first pitcher to homer in a World Series game to support his game 4 victory.
He is currently a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers staff, on a team that looks to juggernaut towards a World Series.
