Yes... as stated in the description and title, it is a new set. I understand why you'd want to be sure before you bid. I know there are always a few people, regardless of the auction website, who use tricky wording in their auctions and say an item is new, even though the package is opened or missing. I don't do that.
All Lego's I have listed (including this set) are:
~Brand new in a factory sealed box or package.
~100% complete with all pieces and building instructions (since it has never been opened).
I'm sure your grandson would love this set! It has everything a young boy would want - minifigures, a horse, weapons, bugs/a snake and a catapult to launch things! Thanks for commenting and Good Luck :-)

Cool! Yes, the black horse isn't as common as the white and brown ones. You'll usually find the black horse in some older sets like this one and some of the Castle and Kingdoms themed sets. I occasionally have some of those older sets listed - new and still sealed in the box. I had a Kingdoms set listed last week with a black horse/unicorn. Thanks for bidding and Good Luck :-)
