The listing, *NOT PROPERLY WORKING * Legend of Zelda for Nintendo (NES) - See Description has ended.

Basically, the system will read the cartridge and it will start up normally for a very small amount of time. After the introduction screen, following screens become more and more pixelated, discolored, and glitchy to the point that even if someone were to play the game at this point, she/he would have no clue as to what she/he would be doing or where.

I've tried cleaning the cartridge multiple times but to no avail. My hopes is that someone can fix the cartridge and/or get some use out of it.

Gray cartridge only. Does not come with paperboard box, manual, or sleeve. AS IS. Bidders agree to condition of product upon placing bid(s).

Thank you and happy bidding!

I'm assuming (no offense) like most people you tried cleaning it with rubbing alcohol? You Must clean games with a de-oxing solution. Get some Caig's Deox-IT to de-oxify the contacts on the cartridge - OR go to Walmart and buy some Kit Scratch-Out in the automotive depth, clean the cartridge contacts with the solution using blue Scott Shop Towel, then rise off the contacts with rubbing alcohol. You should get the NES screwdriver bit to open the game

Great advise! Much appreciated. Meant advise, not advance, on my other comment too. Thanks for the help.

Any cartridge-based game build up oxidation on the contacts. Rubbing alcohol does not de-oxify anything. You have to use a solution to take off the oxidation. Once it's truly clean, the contacts will shine like gold! :-)

Thanks for the advance. I might try this on the other cartridges I own after I move but I'm merely trying to find a new home for this one at the moment.
