about how far can you see with this telescope? also, is it heavy, being that it is brass, could one carry it around for walks with no problem, and look through it for lengths of time without that much eyestrain? It's not really strong maybe thirtyX . But my hand is eight inches long so that may help with the size, I picked it up at a flea market, so it wasn't brand new . It's sorta heavy but if you used both hands to hold it its not to bad ! And the very last section where you look through turns to focus.

Basically I bought it so my kids could be pirates but that game only lasts for so long ... And sadly That phase passed and its time to pass it on !

And also a little FYI .. I think this is brass coated because I noticed a little copper showing through, and the front lens has a tiny nick in it that in no way affects the optics , the view is still very clear !! This was a toy for boys who play outside ..
