I am only making a valid point that when anyone does go shopping for whatever most include their toiletries as well in one shopping trip. If someone is ordering online then I would think it would be for more than 1 item and free shipping is included from many online stores. Many non web based stores do delivery as well.

It's like paying taxes none of us like that either. They ought to be glad that I'm not charging handling fee for my personal involvment. In this area the shipping turns into quit a hassel.

well out of the list mentioned for ivory soap the only one local to me is walgreens 15 miles away. and the cost in my store is 4.29 a 3 pack. the the gas to get there. so woohoo for this auction!

True on the free shipping on most places. Some is free shipping if the total is over a certain amount. However, places like Walmart, she has to buy in bulk on each item ordered or they won't ship.
I bring her supplys she needs whenever I visit. I live in another city and county. So I try to visit once a month whenever possible. Her Safeway does not offer free delivery. She's on a fixed income and can't afford a lot.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Sure running to the store is easy for most of us. there are people that are bedridden and/or just cannot leave the house due to medical reasons. My mother for example cannot leave her house and relys on buying everything off the internet. That gets very costly. Auctions like this helps her and other alot.

That's probably true but we have one item in question this is not a grocery store or a drug store and you pay nothing for the item so the shipping really buys the item. How can you say saving yourself the headache of having to get up and get out, maybe your finances does not allow you to put gas in your car and we know that is not cheap. so there are benefits and there are down falls in both scenarios. It does not benefit me to charge the postage in any way in my next auction i'm going to try it a differnt way but it is going to cost a flat fee it will also be for the soap. If you have any sugestions let me know
