did you buy this from LV? I use to work there and they use to have a free repair policy if you had and account or the receipt. either way, if someone is a big spender at LV they most likely would fix it for free since it is authentic.

Yeah I was gonna say like @rrhig the LV store could fix/replace this if you bought it there. My now dog then puppy chewed my speedybag handle & they fixed it for me even thought it was my fault. The LV store on 57th st in NYC rocks =)
