Please note: We post a postage amount for each auction; you should expect to pay that amount. Please do not ask us for free shipping; if you are going to be upset because we charge shipping, please do not bid. If this sounds "harsh" please read the bad feedbacks posted for me by people who have not listed as many auctions in a year as I have had won in a single day. We love PayPal and accept checks, MOs, USPS stamps, and cash (not recommended). We ask that when your wins arrive that if there is a problem you contact us so we can solve the problem. Otherwise, please post feedback so we know you got the item and we can then post feedback for you.

When a buyer has fulfilled his commitment "as a buyer" is when you should leave feedback for the buyer- NOT after you get your feedback from them. Pretty pety holding feedback deserved as ransome for feedback given.

I just wrote you a LONG answer to the above and then erased it as I realized that you have your idea of how best to operate and I have mine. I don't know about you, but my note explains what works best for me and I am not going to change any part of it unless I prove to myself that I am not doing something right. I have fought the good fight; my regular bidders will tell you they would rather pay postage for the type books I post then to see a few "nothings" posted for free shipping (which I do just to see what type people bid on freebies; oh, yes, I had a ball a few times before my Listia got so busy, just bidding on everything that showed free shipping; don't have time now.) What stopped my frees was the first week: I had to pay over $35 in postage to "get rid" of some books that I could take to one of five local charities stores and get tax writes off for; I don't see any advantage for me in free shipping. As to the feedbacks, I don't even check mine on the other four sites where I list because it doesn't really matter.....as it seems to on Listia to a few people who only get a few feedbacks a month. And the only really bad ones I have on Listia are where I posted first; one "lady" even called me a thief, a liar, etc. because she said she did not get her book and therefore I did not send it. I even guarantee return postage so USPS will return any shipment to me they don't deliver. OK, now I have written another rambling almost as long as the one I eradicated. It all sums up just as the notes in my listings say: if you don't like the amount of postage I have listed and you don't want to post feedback first, then don't bid on anything listed by hsabooks because we have our policy. And we certainly do not bid where we see statements in listings that we don't like.
