Two Sets of Chopsticks and Rests In every Asian culture, gifting with chopsticks is considered a lucky omen. During festivals and birthdays, Chinese people like to give pairs of chopsticks to friends or relatives; it means that they are giving them happiness because the Chinese word for chopstick "kuaizi," rhymes with the word for happiness, "kuaile." We frequently see chopsticks given as a presents at weddings. It is a way for parents, relatives, and friends to express hope that the newly married couple will "yong bu fen li", or never part from each other. Chopsticks are also a symbol of love because a pair of chopsticks represents the wish of "cheng shu cheng dui," which means "living as a couple forever."

I love how theres a big one for husband and smaller one for wife. I like smaller sticks...they're easier to maneuver.
