The listing, TWO 1966 Topps cards! BOB ASPROMONTE & DON NOTTEBART (Astros) has ended.
This is a lot of 2 1966 Topps baseball cards.
Both players played with the Houston Astros.
#21 DON NOTTEBART
#352 BOB ASPROMONTE
Nottebart is best known for throwing the first no-hitter in Houston franchise history, on May 17, 1963 against the Philadelphia Phillies. He was also mentioned in Charles Schulz' "Peanuts" comics in 1963 when Lucy refused to trade a card of Charlie Brown's idol (fictional player Joe Shlabotnik) to Charlie for dozens of cards, including a Nottebart.
Aspromonte was a 13 year utility player who started his career with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956. All of his best years were spent in Houston, where he collected 925 of his career 1103 hits. In 1971, he became the LAST player from the Brooklyn Dodgers team to retire.
The Nottebart is in fantastic shape, and appears EX-MT to the naked eye. The Aspromonte shows a small watermark on the right side and a slight ding, bottom left, but still is a pretty decent card that would grade at least G-VG.
