Description

The listing, USPS ISSUE (3) COIL STRIPS OF DIFFERENT TRANSPORTATION SERIES PRE-CANCELLED STAMPS has ended.

In this listing there are three different USPS Issued Transportation series coiled strips of stamps. They are a pre-cancelled Nonprofit Org. 6c Tricycle 1880's strip of five; a pre-cancelled bulk rate 8.3 Ambulance 1860's strip of five and a pre-cancelled presorted first class 12c Stanley Steamer 1909 strip of five stamps. All these stamps are still in mint condition and have never been hinged, they were pre-cancelled by the post office and never used. You would have to check with the post office to see if they can still be used today, I am not sure. These stamps are not computerized reproduction reprints or replicas. They are all USPS Issued. The stamps shown in the photos are the exact stamps the winner will receive.

Okay, I have a question, any of your stamps that have something stamped on them means that they are a canceled stamp, right ?

Yes and no, alot of them were stamped for non-profit organizations who bought them, but never used them, same with Bulk Rate mailings and pre-cancelled stamps, that were never used. Even though the pre-cancelled were cancelled by the post office, they were for mail outs for those companies and organizations. The Bulk Rate and Non-Profit stamps that have been stamped with this information can still be used, but only on mail outs for Bulk Rate and Non-Profit mail outs. The pre-cancelled ones I am not sure. But all these stamps are in mint condition, have never been hinged (MNH) or used on mail out letters or mail. They still have their glue on the back sides. These were in my personal stamp collection of 40+ years. I am just weeding down my collection, which was in 6 full Rubbermaid containers, now into three. Thank you for asking, I hope I explained it clearly. These stamps are in mint condition, never been used.

As they did to mine. But I had six Rubbermaid containers full of stamps, books and supplies, so far I have gotten it down to two and I only want to keep one. I hope you win.

Yes, I never noticed it, on the middle stamp of each coiled strip, there is a "2" on the Stanley Steamer 12c stamps and a "1" on the other two strips. Now I have to ask, what is it for? Is this a block number for these strips? I have never noticed the tiny numbers before. Thanks for bringing them to my knowledge.
