It's a special rechargeable battery kind of like a cell phone battery. I charged it using usb cable connected to computer.

Does it keep a charge well? Do you have the original charger?

I've had it for a couple years but didnt use it that much. (I always forget to take it!!). Don't remember having an actual charger. Always charged through computer. It holds a charge for a long time, even when not in use. I do have an AC charger that I will include for the winner!
