They are lipstick samples of Mary Kay Cream lipsticks. OOPS, I just noticed I didn't even mention it was lipsticks.

So how exactly does it look, I cant make it out from the pic. Are they like little mini lipsticks or is the sample paper that requires you to use your finger.

They are in a sealed packet with a sponge tip stick to apply. You lift the corner and pull back on the packet.
