Why would you consider this to be an error coin? I live in the Denver area which is near the mint... a representative of the Denver Mint came to my son's school and handed these out to every child and teacher. If you take a tour of the Denver Mint they also give them out there... I think they do the same thing at the Philadelphia Mint...

I'm not saying somebody wouldn't want to buy this... I just wouldn't call it an error...

Well, DEAR FRIEND, The rest of the USA, 200,000 plus, we don't live near the Denver or Philadelphia mints, so how would i know that. my daughter lives in NJ and that is 325 miles here. I'm lucky and i have been to the Philadelphia mint. If the mint is making these type of blanks, no wonder we are loosing money, i have never seen anyone give away anything, SPECIALLY THE US MINT AND US GOVERNMENT....SS THEY are trying to say is a Entilement.....I EARNED THAT MONEY DEAR SIR I HAVE WORKED HARD FOR MY COMPANY FOR 39 YEARS PLUS US AIR FORCE!!!!!!!!!! Nothing is free !!!!!! i purchase this from another fellow he called a error and i did the same thing......i bought a bunch and now i want to get rid of them......I could go on but i don't see the point!!!!!! It is a matter of opinion and perspective........if you don't want to bid, i'm not forcing anyone to bid, and i believe they are accurate, i'm not a expert at anything....just my opinion.............SORRY!!!!!!!!! No need to be sorry, was just trying to let you know that this isn't an error...

If you called it a cool oddity that would be accurate...

I suppose......In production of any parts, specially PUNCH presses, the parts coming from there are supposed be a perfect part, because of the dies being just as perfect as they have to be according to the drawings of a part. if in the punch parts process alot can happen, which could cause a part to be, 20% or 80% or what ever figure you would like to use, or could be chipped, broken dies and EVEN A MISSED or NON STUCK PLANCHET.....most places that would called ( SCRAP ), but in coins it appears they call it error, AND the mint makes alot of error, more then people think!!!!!!!!! and alot get out unto collectors, which make a ton of MONEY!!!! i have a few error coins that i will be putting on here, mostly SLABBED ones....Patrick

Never heard of the mint giving anything like this away. I have collected coins for years and these have been consided a non struck planchet error. Sometimes a coin planchet gets thur without getting struck. It happens.
