so i'm confused.... if you buy forever stamps before they go up then you will still be able to use the forever stamps after the rate goes up right? all it means is that the rate of forever stamps also goes up afterwards... sorry... confused.

You are absolutely right. The new forever stamps have gone up, but whatever you have, of the old one,s are good for the new rate without you having to add postage to it.

I think they are going up to 46 cents for first class mail and more for media and parcel post.
