The listing, Vintage Red Firebird Colibri Lighter With Original Case has ended.

This is a really nice vintage cigarette lighter from Colibri called the "Firebird" made in Japan. It is a metallic red with a textured surface and on one side is cut design in silver. This vintage lighter is in good vintage condition with some signs of use. It comes in it's original black case.

The lighter is a very attractive streamlined design. Inside of box states "Electro-Quartz, No Flint, No Battery, No Spark Wheel ..." Measurements: Lighter measures -1 3/4" high, 1-1/2" across, 1/2"deep. Box measures 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" x 1" high. This lighter does spark and the wheel does turn but there is no flame. I am unsure what it would need to make it work ... just some fluid may do the trick!!

Nice addition to a collection.

if there is no flint how does the lighter spark? and it is lighter fluid not butane gas correct?

The lighter ignites with the Piezeo electric spark system that is found in today's push button grill starters. It requires lighter fluid.
