I am (one of many) Fighting Back Against the Selling of Recipes.

I am sick of seeing SO MANY that are *Copied from the internet* and then auctioned for credits on Listia. Crazzy!

Copying from another website and listing for credits is Plagiarism!!
-aka- Against the Law, Oh and immoral.

If you can access Listia, you can "search" for *Free* Recipes.

IF YOU LIKE THIS IDEA: COMMENT &/or post your own "really-free recipe".

Thanks for the freebie. I agree that most recipes on here can be found on the internet. However, some are originals. I have a couple posted but they are my own concoctions, not to be found anywhere else.

Thank you for the free recipe. Fanned you, hope you fan back.

Sounds delicious! Will definitely have to make a trial run and see how they turn out. That way I know they'll be a great hit for the cookouts we have and the cookouts we go to. They love the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Dip. My best friend made it and I fell in love with it. So I started making it. You can make it as spicy or as mild as you want. I make mine kinda mild if its just my husband and I. The cookouts, they favor more spiciness so I'll more than a 1/2 cup that it calls for. It's gone within a couple of hours (if that). This past weekend, I put the normal amount of hot sauce but added some of Frank's Red Hot BBQ as well as the Frank's Red Hot Buffalo. Didn't change the taste much but wanted to give it a new twist but didn't want to over do it since I wasn't sure how it would taste. That dip was gone in about an hour. It musta been better than I thought.

Need a new appetizer to bring to the cookouts and I think this will rock their socks off! Thanks again!

I agree with u ty for the good recipe i just printed it and will try it in the future. recipes should be ur making and not from just a cookbook or the internet where u sell it for points/credits. i have actually brought another kind of internet thing on here and got some weird stuff from it so beware folks.

GREAT IDEA I will get some of my favorite recipes together and follow your lead
If they intend to keep recipes on Listia at least give them their own catagory so I don't have to go through all of them just to find what I am looking for....thanks for taking a stand and giving the rest of us something to do!

I got sick of shopping just cause of the patterns & recipes, I found out that Listia plans to give a category for recipes and patterns, etc.

Absolutely! Its a big hit every time I make it. There are some variations on different sites, but it pretty much comes out about the same.

My version of the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Dip is:
2 CANS OF TYSON WHITE MEAT CHUNK CHICKEN (drained)(I like to put the chicken in a bowl first and mash it up with a fork before I add the other ingredients)
1 PACKAGE (8OZ) CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED (or squeeze the package before adding will work too)(I've usually use Philly and store brands-tastes the same too)
1 1/2 CUPS SHREDDED CHEESE (I use the three blend)
1/2 CUP OF RANCH (or Blue Cheese)
1/2-3/4 CUP HOT SAUCE (I use Franks Red Hot Buffalo Sauce)
Some recipes call for celery but I'm the only one that likes it so I omit it but if you like celery,

If I'm not in a hurry, I'll mash the chicken with a fork like I mentioned above and toss all ingredients in a my little crockpot and put on high to get the temp going then I'll put it on low for the rest of the party. It can burn on low so you have to stir it often but I don't stir too often because its gone so quick.

If I am in a hurry, I'll microwave the chicken and the cream cheese for a minute or two first before adding the rest of the ingredients. Once its warm and easier to stir, I'll add the rest and toss in my little crockpot to keep it warm for the rest of the party.

Here are some other variations. The original recipe my friend found called for fresh cooked chicken which I'm sure is healthier and less greasy but if in a hurry, the canned chicken works great. I've never tried it with the fresh chicken. May try that next time as well.

Enjoy :O)
