OK so the other day I was washing dishes & my 15 month old son somehow got ahold of my iPod and threw it in the sink as I had the water running. I immediately took it out, wiped it, left it in rice overnight and it just won't work :( At one point the screen lit up but was just blank. I've had this iPod for 4 years and it worked perfect til then. I'm so depressed! Ahhh! Anyway I figured maybe someone could use it for parts? Maybe? Better than me just throwing it away! Obviously I can't delete anything that was on there....so please, whoever wins..if you can fix it, please delete my stuff for me.

the heat and warm wind from the blow dryer is equal to leaveing it in your car on a nice summer day with the windows cracked a lil bit n a breez

not if blowdryer is placed 5 inches away from the i pod lay dryer on side put it on low heat put the i pod on top of a pop bottle top 5 in infront of it leave there for 3 min 4 tops and it will work for sure.

Oh my goshhhh do not blow on it with a blow dryer, that is craaaazy. They are not meant to withstand that much heat and it will destroy any parts that are salvageable!

also since you did see the screen blink it prolly did fry then should always leave elec devices set for a few days rice or not theres some places water holds and will fry it just a tip

WARNING TO THE WINNER: The motherboard may be fried and wont even work for parts. Just know because it happened to me but mine fell in a puddle while i was walking. I tried everything to get it to work and did ALL the 'tricks" but had to throw it away.

I have no idea. My iTunes is on my moms computer, after I moved out of her house a year ago I only used wifi to get new games, songs, etc. So I haven't tried plugging it into a computer recently.

i had an itouch that got waterlogged as well. i had no rice so i slid it into the vent of a heater bottom end first and it dried it right up. worked perfect as if it never got damaged.
