Tangerine trees are a delight for any yard and garden. Talk about landscaping, this one is a must have. Be different, add a tangerine to yours, and watch the awe's that come from your neighbors and friends. Delicious in recipes too.

Sleigh Ride Punch
Ingredients

2 quarts cranberry juice
1 pound tangerines, 1/2-inch slices
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 quart sprite
1 litter of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum
Festive ice mold

Directions

In a saucepan, bring the cranberry juice, tangerines, cloves, and cinnamon sticks up to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside. This will infuse the tangerines and spices into the juice. Chill the infused juice, completely. In a punch bowl, whisk the juice, sprite and rum together. Chill the punch completely before serving. Serve the punch in a pretty punch bowl with and festive ice mold.

Will this survive the winter in zone 7/8; we are right on the dividing line between the two zones.

Get the fruit seeds now, since i am going to be planting orchards this summer, and won't have any more fruit seeds to offer.

I would say in the second year. Sometimes you get them when the tree is one year, but i would say in the second.

Are you sure that your seeds are from tree that will come true from seed? Or was your tree grafted onto root stock. Since most of the time citrus is grafted onto sour orange root stock, people need to know if they are going to get a tangerine or some other citrus from citrus seeds.

Mine are from tangerine, and yes, they will come true to the same fruit.
