The screen was cracked, so my husband decided to take it off. it still powered up, but because he removed the screen I have no way to show it on. I was going to have it repaired but got an iPhone instead and really don't need it anymore. That all being said, please bid only if you understand that IT NEEDS A NEW SCREEN. NO charger included. That would be great if I could get over 10,000...using my credits to help my mother in law get christmas gifts. Her husband was laid off last week and while he still hasn't found a job, the kids still need gifts. We've all been pulling together nicely to help :)

Probably the cheapest LCD digitizer on eBay is around 17$ to 20$, I know this because I had just purchased a new digitizer for my iPod which had the same problem. Nice post though!

Very nice listing!

Before people start asking (!!) - this is a 4th (Fourth) Generation iPod Touch. Note that, yes, it does have a rear camera (and also one for the front - once the damaged parts are replaced!)

This should not be an expensive repair, assuming it simply needs a new LCD/Digitizer Assembly, and is well worth fixing. Genuine Apple replacement parts will likely run in the $60-$75 range; and of course there are always the Chinese knock offs all over eBay all the time in the $25 range.

Also, for the winner, LCD screens are not at all hard to replace! There is just a trick to it, applying heat around the sides with a blow dryer is a good idea, because That will bond the glue connecting the screen.

If it doesn't connect to iTunes - Hubby may very well have toasted it. They generally connect until you actually install a new LCD/Digitizer, battery, etc. and the new hardware has to be addressed (generally by an offline charge, then online recovery.) It is EXACTLY why I loath the iPod Touch!
