Up for bidding is this great muzzle. I only used it on my mix breed dog once as he was nipping my other dog but he did not want to wear the muzzle so he stopped nipping her :) My opinion is that this muzzle runs smaller than what the manufacturer says. The dog I used this on was only 20lbs and has a narrow-ish nose.

does this adjust? my dog has pancreatitis and goes out at night and eats grubs which is so gross. i want to get him a muzzle like this so he can't eat them anymore. he is only 20 lbs so thats why i asked if it adjusts to tighten if needed if its too big. i have a pomeranian. chunky but his head is the smallest part of his body. lol

It's hard to say. My dog was small like that and has a doberman type narrow face... measure around the nose and go by the manufacturer info. The muzzle itself does NOT adjust, only the strap that goes behind the neck. Hope this helps! :)

Lisa I tried to email you but I guess I'm blocked ....you may want to look into a basket muzzle for your pup. They can still pant and open their mouth but not so far as to dig and eat grubs. BTW my dogs also love grubs...lol...as gross as they are :) Leenis I'm sorry to post on your auction but I cant email her directly for whatever reason....maybe you could forward this to her for me? Id appreciate it :)

I could use this for one of my Boston's who hates our vet and enjoys nipping when she needs to have her blood drawn fir heartworm tests. Thanks for posting such a useful item :)

I will definitely be looking into getting something to put around his mouth. with pancreatic problems he shouldn't be eating those nasty things. yuck! thank you!

I really think it's too small for an Australian Shepherd... Sorry. Since there is a baby involved, I would get a basket muzzle instead. With this mesh one, the dog might still be able to nip a little as the end of the muzzle is open.
