Trio of civil war 3 ring bullets. These were dug on a farm in Virginia. There is one dropped .58 caliber bullet, and two fired bullets.

This is a great gift for students, or anybody interested in civil war history.

Thanks, they are .54, or .58 caliber. Not really something I would want coming at me.

these were known as Selma's. Neat items to have in a collection. Knowing the location of the find could help pin it down to a particular battle

That is a new one for me. Though I may have heard it before. In studying civil war history it's amazing how quickly troops would "trade up". Some began with antique flint lock muskets and then ended up with a Spencer or a Henry repeating rifle through captures and raids.
