The listing, Autogtraphed! 1973 Topps FRANK HOWARD (Tigers) - Senators legend! has ended.
"Hondo"
"The Capital Punisher"
"The Washington Monument"
Frank Howard started his career with the Dodgers in 1958, and in his first full-time callup in 1960 he would win Rookie of the Year. He played four more injury-plagued seasons with the Dodgers before being traded to the Senators in a blockbuster deal in December of 1964. In Washington, he led the league in home runs twice and hit 40+ in 3 straight seasons and played on 4 All Star teams. For his career, he averaged 33 home runs per season and finished his career with 382, quite a hefty chunk at the time.
This card was signed for me in person; he has signed for me several times. Frank lives locally and still does his best to get out to local events. He also does a lot of work with St. Jude's Hospital. The card is creased, but as I have a couple of signed Senators items I thought it would be cool to get his sig on a Tigers card and this was all I had. As I am narrowing things and do still have a couple of other Howard hand-signs, I am willing to part with this one.
Thanks for looking, happy bidding, and good luck!
