Vintage City of Wapello, Iowa $3 dollar note collector’s limited edition reprint- Printed by American Bank Note Company using the original engraved printing plates!
In good preowned condition with three vertical folds as originally delivered, and a small rumpled lower right corner.
Text on the back reads” this certifies that the note that appears on the face of this document is a special collectors edition reprint of authentic currency issued by private banks and businesses in the US prior to the Civil War. American bank note company, the first private printer of US currency, used the original engraved plate and the actual intaglio printing method for this reprint. Notice that the note is printed on one side, with black ink, as was common during the mid 1800s.
