Up for bid is a gorgeous Victorian style hand made brooch! It is large at 4-1/2”, and is a real statement piece! I have to guess at age, but since it is in such good condition (maybe never worn), I would say 1980s – 2000.
I took several photos so hopefully you can see the glitter of the black stones. Stones look like glass, but may be some other material. All stones are present. Flash makes one or two appear missing, but stones are complete.
It has the appearance of antique mourning broaches, but also would be appropriate for wearing to a “black tie” occasion. Would certainly dress up any cocktail dress or gown. And could be attached to an evening bag! No limit to the imagination!
