Genuine unused V-Mail form from World War II. V-Mail (V for Victory) allowed letters to be photographed from V-Mail forms and the film negatives were sent overseas reducing the space for regular mail. The negatives would be printed overseas and distributed as V-Mail letters. The for V-Mail could be sent free to soldiers overseas or for 3 cents postage to soldiers in US. Inside on the form is a circle at the top for the censor's stamp to insure nothing classified was included in the letter. Many a soldier learned his girlfriend accepted his proposal (or found someone new--the infamous Dear John letter; found he was was the father of a child; learned of a family members dying; but mostly just a one page report on how things were back home.
