Great first phone for a young child. Alarm clock, calendar, timer, stopwatch, calculator, video and camera all work. Fun games installed with no ads or internet needed. Great practice with drop down menus. Older battery, leave plugged in while using or replace the battery. They still sell them on e bay. No worries about internet or social media use, browser is older and has limited access to sites. When they know how to take care of this and not lose it or damage it, they are ready for a phone that connects to internet and cell networks.
