Pair (2) ESMC USAF Goes G & H Launch Permits 1980's Ephemera Space Exploration Weather Space Force Military Private Launches Satellites
Working there in the 1980's I was able to see many launches at CCAFS and NASA by the USAF and the PAFB. This is a pair of launch permits for 2 weather satellites : "GOES-G was a weather satellite to be operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The satellite was designed to sense and monitor meteorological conditions from a geostationary orbit, intended to replace GOES-5 and provide continuous vertical profiles of atmospheric temperature and moisture. It was lost due to the launch failure of a Delta 3914 rocket on 3 May 1986.
GOES -H " known as GOES-H before becoming operational, is an American satellite. It was originally built as a weather satellite, and formed part of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite system. Wikipedia"
Both in excellent stored condition. Pair sent protected in cardboard for collectors.
