I have a bunch of cats, by way of rescue. They all have their own dishes, but that doesn't mean anything to one of them, and that one doesn't have an off button, when it comes to food. Most cats are tribal and will always leave a mouth full of food in their bowl for someone in the tribe that missed dinner time. A mouth full of food left by 5 or 6 cats can fill a belly. It's their way of keeping the tribe in good numbers and it is built into their DNA. But I have one who is named Joker, and he will go from bowl to bowl and eat up what everyone left. And I have one that is a screamer who will start yelling for me to make him stop. Life with cats can be fun. LOL
