They can burn sensitive areas of your skin, yes. Once I forgot gloves when I cut some peppers up and thought I would use rubbing alcohol to clean my hands...BIG mistake, my hands were tingling and burning for 2 days. Can easily burn your face and eyes, nose,etc.

you know how to take care of that?? My boyfriend was cleaning banana peppers and his hands was burning 8 hrs and his mom asked him what was wrong and he told her and she poured vinegar on his hands and took care of the problem.
