US #3694 MNH pane of 4, Hawaiian Missionary....real collector item.37 cent stamps....
On June l8, 1851, the Kingdom of Hawaii authorized the printing of postage stamps..and were used exclusively by missionaries..the stamps went on sale Oct l, 185l.
This is a celebration of the Rare Hawaiian Missionary Stamps. a 2 cent stamp paid postage to the US; a 5 cent stamp transported a letter from the Honolulu post office to a ship at harbor. The 13 cent stamp paid the 5 cent Hawaiian postage to the ship, the 2 cent captain's fee, plus 6 cents for US postage from San Francisco to the East........(just thought you might want to know)
The four stamps at the bottom are perforated and 37 cents each but, heaven forbid, anyone break up this wonderful sheet!!!
