Offered for bidding is a brochure from a tour through the NIJO Castle, the tourist center of Kyoto, Japan. In both Japanese and English, the history of the castle and palace are explained (built in the 8th yar of 'Keicho Era' 1603) along with historical events it endured through time. The Ni-No-Maru Landscape Garden, the Kara-Mon Gate and old art throughout the area is discussed. Includes B&W photographs and a map of the entire area (like a 'you are here' type map).

My uncle was in the military in the late 50s-early 60s and brought tons of interesting brochures and such back to us kids at home in the states. He was also an artist and loved touring the 'arts' of Japan. I am also listing other brochures, so please check them out (I'll mail all together if you win!).
