Product ID: 0032-OEM=8992752-30005
Windows 7 starter

I have had for a few years so i am not sure how old it is. I did find some things in this computer dated 2009
wifi ready
has a button in the left upper corner for touch pad on and off
has front camera..
Sype will need to be loaded if you want that system
10.1 inch screen
not sure of the weight but very light.
i added microsoft office home and student 2007 so that you would have some sort of office program. you can delete that if you do not want it.

almost mint condition.
the cord and charger are included.
the only 2 things that i can see "wrong" with it is the cord (included) is a tad bit tangled. works perfect though, and there is a small dent on the battery pack on the bottom. in a couple of pictures.
comes from a smoke free pet friendly home and the dog in the picture is not included.
this is a sweet machine.
The reason that i am listing it is because the screen is too small for my Old eyes and that is even with my new trifocals.
if you are looking for a sweet compact netbook ( think Christmas) this is an awesome deal

Free Shipping to the US only

So, this is basically a mini computer. I ask because I teach college and I often lug my full size Fujitstu with me and with all the texts, it is a load! Will this netbook do things like: listing on Listia, help me create lecture notes, etc? I assume it does, but I'm asking to be sure. It is also set for WiFi so I could use it anywhere? And finally, about how long does the battery last when unplugged? Not that I would use it alot that way, but Fujitsu batteries die very quickly and the one I have now doesn't work at all. I love these computers, but the batteries are a poor quality. Can you tell I teach? Questions, questions, questions!

Yes this is a mini computer which is why i bought it in the first place as sometimes I travel and i wanted something lighter. I also have a kindle and a tablet.I have a droid & have to have a keyboard ( I know the kids laugh at me).
The screen is too small for my eyesight is the only reason that I don't use it much and have it on Listia now.
Definately has wifi and you could use it anywhere that has wifi. I am sure that you could load your create lecture notes on this netbook too. I was surprised how much that I had downloaded and how much space was left on the hard drive. Also if this is just a sort of office program I did download the office home and student 2007 ( this is what my husbands cousin who works at microsoft got me). I did test this program --- just the microsoft word and it works well.
After I crashed this computer trying to get it back to factory settings, I tried it out after I did the recovery disc and could get right on the internet.
I have read specs that the Battery life is 4.5 hours, however I do not guarentee that figure. I was using it for about 3 plus hours last night via the battery and was just starting to get a darker screen as if the battery was wearing out.
this is a real light netbook. i have been going back and forh wheher to list this.
I forgot how much fun and powerful this netbook is until I was using it these past two days. Also since the netbook is so light the cord is light too so you could just carry it along and still have a lot less weight,
hope this helps
I hope that I answered all of your questions and if you have anymore feel free to ask
thanks
and to answer your very last question I thought you might teach!

Thank you so much for the really complete answers! The word crash scares me alittle-so, all the programs are working okay? A couple of student's computers crashed but they wiped it and reloaded without problems.

yes the only reason the netbook crashed was because i was trying to put it back to maufacturers settings and didn't know what i was doing! LOL
the awesome thing is that I know for sure the recovery disc works great!
otherwise except when i was trying to do something to this computer that I know nothing about I have had absolutely no problems with this.
I was surprised how many programs etc i had loaded and still had lots of room on the hard drive
of course i don't do games such as some of the hard core games( except freecell LOL!)
i did read in all the research that I did that you can ( don't ask me how) put a bigger hard drive or some such thing -- As you can tell i am not a computer techie
and that this netbook is set up such that this piece you can change to give it more memory or rams or something & is easy to reach under the back panel. Actually Asus set it up to be changed.
If I had not been trying to do something I know nothing about this would have never crashed. After I did the recovery disc in I did try out to make sure that everything is working fine and it is.
