This is not an original Apple cable, I have one that came with my iPod Touch and the end that goes into the iPod is way smaller than the one in the picture and the original cable seems to be kind of gray-ish, this one is all white.

Yes your right, the white plastic part is smaller on the original, but my cables that came w/ both of my itouchs were white not grayish, Plus the cable split open near the plug on the original exposing the wires. So I have been happily using a generic cable with no problems. :)

OMG! My cable did the same thing valentine! It is exposed now. I've been debating if I want to order a new one for $20. I wonder if that is one of Apple's products that is faulty because the plug on my Ipod nano never had that problem and the cord is longer. I could use a new one!

That's how they make more money off of us. There was no way was I gonna pay $20 for another just to have it split again. I think the generic cables have more durability.
