Portable Cassette Player/Recorder & 5-Pack of Tapes!

This cassette recorder/player was once used by a police department to record interviews with suspects! Imagine what has been recorded by this machine!

So, why buy? Sometimes you might WANT or NEED to have a record of a conversation for legal issues.

Of course, you can use this for more than recording telephone conversations (see warning below)! You can buy music tapes from Goodwill for about $1! Kids can play that they're a radio DJ! You can dictate a shopping list then play it back when you get to the store! Leave a message for the kids or your spouse if you're going to be late getting home! Plenty of uses, so here's your chance to get a player/recorder at a bargain price!

Needs four (4) AA batteries, and I'm throwing in a 5-pack of 90-minutes tapes so you can begin recording right away! You can also use a 110 VAC-to-6 VDC plug-in power converter instead of batteries (you can often find these converters at Goodwill; take the player with you to make sure the converter will fit).

The set weighs just 1.75 lbs, shipping from Zip Code 47401.

CAUTION! It's illegal in some states to record telephone conversations without alerting the other party, either by telling them or playing a short tone every 5-10 seconds; check the Internet to determine your state's laws!

I'm not sure what you mean by "converter". This will play regular cassette tapes, even the pre-recorded kind.

Since I don't know your address, I have no idea. However, YOU can use the weight I stated and MY Zip Code (on the page) to run a calculation on the USPS website.

What is a "converter"?

the converter that you mentioned in your description. The 110 VAC to 6 VDC plug in converter to be able to use electric instead of batteries. Can you get it and throw it in?

It would probably be cheaper to find one at your local Goodwill than to ship it. It would essentially double the weight, and so the shipping cost would obviously be higher.

At the moment, I don't have an appropriate adapter, so it's a moot point. You can use rechargeable batteries, which makes more sense as it provides mobility; you're not tied to the nearest outlet.

Whichever choice you go with, this is a bargain player!

If I had those tapes, I would be selling them one at a time! The morbid curiosity factor would likely bring some high bids!
