I believe they are all stainless steel. They are in good used condition. The 2 vintage Bates’ hooks’ have thread guides at the end.

They are not thread guides. When crocheting and you want to stop you have a loop on your hook and don't want it to unravel so you pull it into that to hold it in place. In the mid 50's I bought a whole set of them. The others are even older. I lived in several nw Chicago suburbs: Elk Grove ( jnot Eld Grove village),Villa Park, Maywood and sw in Lisle, and unincorporated Hinsdale (later ininc Burr Ridge).

Thanks for the clarification. We're in Fox Lake, IL but previously from Waukegan and Villa Park. The suburbs and Villa Park are so congested with traffic now it's crazy!
