Listia uses a proxy bidding system simliar to Ebay. The way this system works is that the "current high bid" displayed is the second highest bid plus some increment. When the auction ends the highest bidder pays this price. This is the reason why you can be automatically outbid. It's because the high bidder may have bid something much higher than the displayed "current high bid", but it is not shown until the second highest bid increases.

When you read the description you can see that the card is in great shape,and as far as why get rid of it,I buy these boxes all the time and I have been forunate to have doubled up on this card and thought I would offer it to you and the great people of Listia and the credits help out alot when you offer a great card like this.The thing about Listia that I like best,is what goes around comes around.

Wow great card! A little out of my range but I was looking at the pictures and was kinda surprised by the fact that the card isn't numbered. Yeah jerseys are easier to come across and easy for card companies to make but you'd think a combination like this would be numbered.
