Preston Wilson exploded onto the baseball scene in 1999 with the Florida Marlins, finishing 2nd in Rookie of the Year voting to Scott Williamson and winning top rookie honors from Sporting News after hitting 26 home runs as a rookie. A year later he hit 31 and knocked in 121 runs, then in 2003 he led the National League with 141 RBI as a member of the Rockies. A member of the 2006 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, Wilson injured his knee in may of 2007 and ended his major league career. He finished his career with 189 home runs and one All-Star appearance.
