Hi, thank you for your interest. This is very nice and easy to grow plant. I live in south NJ and our winters change every year. Never know, if it will very cold or mild. This plant seeds I put in pot and add to my pond. I lower the pot as leaves were grow. Later I transfer plant from pot to sand on the buttom and sides of my pond. If you like you can keep plant in the pot and transfer it inside the house for winter. I try to build eco-system in my pond and just left it grow all year long. Keep plant in the pots if you want them to grow in the same spot. They grow everywere it is wet and partialy sunny: ponds, water falls, ets. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more info.
